Paynters were recently awarded the construction of the multipurpose hall at Sarina State High School with Mackay MP Julieanne Gilbert, turning the first sod earlier this week.

School principal, Jane Grieger said “the centre will include two multipurpose courts, gym, full size flexible use stage, stage lighting, music learning space, kinesiology learning space, store rooms, change rooms, foyer entrance, kiosk/box office, backstage area, amenities and 10 extra carparking spaces”.

Once complete, the hall will be a “wonderful space” for everyday school activities and lessons as well as community events like award nights, Ms Gilbert said.

Paynters will hand over the fantastic addition to the growing school in 2021.
