It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Michael Koen, Ashley Lowe and Sean O’Brien to the Board of Paynters Pty Ltd. Their appointment means that the eight-member strong Board is well equipped to guide the future success of the Company.

Managing Director Nigel Gardiner said, “As Paynters client base is well diversified, it is essential that our Board has the collective skills and experience to steer through the opportunities and challenges presented by a broad business base.”

“It is the role of our board to guide business strategy towards success and to ensure Paynters is structured and governed in a way that ensures the business’ longevity to the benefit of all our stakeholders. “he said.

The appointments are vastly different and bring their own set of skills and expertise.

Michael Koen, who currently heads up the North Qld division of the business joined Paynters a decade ago after a diverse career in the Australian Army. Michael undertook a range of engineering and construction related roles within Australia, throughout the South Pacific and in the Middle East and continues to flex this knowledge within Paynters. Michael has previous board experience and has been involved in planning at all levels throughout his time within the Army.

The second appointment, Ashley Lowe experienced an accelerated career path in the commercial construction industry early in his career, working in senior project management roles across the East Coast of Australia. Ashley brings significant end-to-end experience in the construction process, as well as a comprehensive understanding of strategic development and financial control in business; now heading up Paynters operations as a whole, to promote synergy across all facets of the business.

With a career spanning almost 25 years, Sean O’Brien has held numerous senior roles with large multinational companies across a range of industries in the Asia Pacific Region including KPMG & PKF. Early in his professional career, Sean worked overseas as a performance coach in a company owned by John McEnroe, supporting the growth and development of high performing individuals and teams. In a previous role as General Manager, Sean and his team supported the implementation of mobile technology for the Emergency Services personnel in Qld and NSW.

These new appointments were approved earlier this week by the existing board.
