Pittsworth Edition!

Located on the Darling Downs, 170 kilometres south-west of Brisbane, Pittsworth operates as a service centre for the surrounding agricultural region.

The town itself is home to approximately 3,294 people & is currently where our Beauaraba Living project team will call home for the next 10 months.

Paynters have commenced works at Beauaraba Living, a self-supporting Aged Care facility located in Pittsworth, with a client that Paynters have built a very strong relationship with over the years, completing 10-bed special needs units several years ago, & picking up a QMBA award for best Community Accommodation for Aged Care within the region.

Fun fact: Pittsworth is the only country town of the Darling Downs to have accredited gardens in the Australian Open Garden Scheme and is one of the prime agricultural areas of the world.

With this in mind, our Paynters team are currently constructing two new 13-bed wings designed to support the ‘cottage-style’ Pittsworth theme. Our in-house interior design team have created a scheme that invites a homely aspect for the residents, savouring the local colours that create a space resembling the agricultural and floral Pittsworth lifestyle.

Works will also be completed to the Link Building which incorporates an activity room, wellness areas and reflection room. Paynters have redesigned the Administration building for residents and visitors of the facility, with a modern sleek style.

On the ground in Pittsworth, leading the charge on site is regional specialist, Greg Waters. Greg is our resident go-to Aged Care guru, with a recent order book including Killarney Aged Care, Kaloma Aged Care in Goondiwindi, Clermont Hospital, Oakey Nursing Home and now Beauaraba Living.

“I’m a big fan of Paynters and the Aged Care projects but it’s the strong team bonds that hold it all together. We have a good crew & there is always someone to call on when you need it. Especially when you work remotely, you need to know someone will be there to chat and I get that on every job with Paynters. A huge credit to people like Chris Cresswell as a Project Manager & an excellent mentor, and Amy Maxwell in HSEQ, they’re just a couple of the many greats at Paynters & they deserve a shout-out” said Greg Waters.

With works scheduled to be complete in late 2020, Greg and the team can’t wait to sink their teeth into this facility!
