TAE Engine Test Facility

Paynters was awarded the contract to deliver the critical upgrades and expansion works to the facilities alongside the runways of RAAF Base Amberley.

The scope of works for the new facility included a new kitting building, modifications and expansions to the existing control rooms, modifications to the engine test cell simulation facility, remediation works to the existing test cell and exhaust building, installation of bird netting for building protection, and associate complex services infrastructure.

The Engine Test Cell Upgrade project required Paynters to upgrade the existing Engine Test Cell Facility and expand the buildings to accommodate the requirement for testing of multiple engine types. The engine types to be tested vary in both physical size, acoustic profile and technology.
