Three of our project sites, Gladstone CQUniversity, Calliope State High School and Riverview Apartments participated in our CSQ BBQs this week, collectively hosting 210 people across these Central and North Queensland sites.

The topics of conversation during the morning toolbox talks were subsidised training to help build the careers of our workforce; upskilling and ensuring that the process is streamlined, making it easier for construction employees to complete the training.

Guest speakers on the day were Mr Glen Carey from CSQ and Ms Laleta Wright from TAFE, who outlined the various programs available to build career pathways, including skills assessments and gap training or short courses offered by TAFE.

The September schedule is already starting to fill up with TAFE Qld hosting a BBQ at the Victoria Point Adventist Aged Care, introducing industry specialists to approximately 40 subcontractors. Our Logan Central Social Housing project will also host a BBQ in late September with further training events planned for the back end of year.
