Paynters recently worked with a local roofing contractor and registered training organisation, Succession Training to upskill the roofers workforce at our Energy Qld Oil Facility site in Rockhampton. The subcontractor’s team obtained Working at Heights and Scissor Lift qualifications (The roofing contractor normally only undertakes residential roofing works so these qualifications often aren’t required/enforced).

Due to Paynters relationship with Succession Training, and our willingness to continue to provide support to the regional contractors with access to funding supplied by CSQ, we were able to provide this training with no out of pocket expenses to the workers.

With the initial training in May received so well, another session was organised for June to extend the training opportunity to other subcontractors within Paynters supply chain. To-date, over twenty workers have undertaken the training on-site.

Paynters has been able to conduct these small group training sessions for our subcontractors within the COVID-19 environment, following strict protocols to meet infection controls and social distancing requirements.
