Australia Day festivities set to produce fun filled free family day

Mayor Paul Pisasale, Cr Andrew Antonelli, Cr Kerry Silver, State Member Jennifer Howard, and Federal Member Shayne Neumann will attend the Australia Day celebrations at Riverview Farm on Thursday 26th January 2017.
The Salvation Army family fun day will have plenty to offer for families looking for an event with tonnes of free activities for the kids. The day will commence from 10am with free rides, a petting zoo, market stalls, live music, cheap food & beverages, coupled with some fantastic giveaways!
The Salvation Army is one of the world’s largest social welfare organisations, having a presence in Australia for over 130 years. The charity helps more than 1 million Australians every year – that’s one person every 30 seconds! Families can expect to enjoy a wide range of activities providing entertainment and joy in the picturesque environment of the Riverview Farm land. The day will provide vital funds for The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal which supports the many welfare services operated in the Ipswich area.

Design & Construction Company Paynter Dixon Queensland have joined forces with the Salvation Army & the City of Ipswich, donating necessities for the Cricket Carnival which kicks off on the day at 8am. Paynter Dixon Queensland Managing Director Nigel Gardiner said the company was looking forward to partnering with The Salvation Army, for such a great event. “I have no doubt that by the end of the day, the Aussie cricket team will be making the call to some of the up and comers playing throughout the day!”
The Entrance Ripley, by PAYCE & the Rotary Club of Ipswich have also pledged their support for the day, located at Endeavour Rd, Riverview.
A free looping shuttle bus from Riverview Train Station will also operate on the day.
