As many parents found themselves dropping kids off for their first day back to school this morning, Paynters eagerly awaited the arrival of students to the brand-new Calliope State High School.
Principal Peter Stransfield said “There’s a lot of excitement in the community about the new school”
“It will be great to have students on deck, learning and enjoying the new facilities”
The growing Calliope community has been calling for a new school to cater for growth, and Paynters have delivered, ahead of schedule!
About 160 students are enrolled in Years 7 & 8 for the 2020 year.
We look forward to seeing the faces of these foundation students as they welcome a new school & a new wave of teaching staff.
