After a fire destroyed Burpengary’s Tower Shopping Centre earlier this year, Paynters began working on restoring the two buildings which occupied 9 tenants.

Two fires engulfed the smaller building and smoke inundated the entire roof cavity through both structures. As a result, restoration works required a substantial refurbishment of both buildings. Statutory regulations also require that an upgrade of the stormwater was mandatory, and asbestos abatement should occur where present in the building.

Our project team are working closely with two key tenants who decided to stay during construction, with Paynters working to minimise disruption to their operations and the surrounding businesses. The renovation works will be complete early into the second half of 2019. We think it’s coming along nicely & that Paynters branding certainly catches your eye under the tower! Keep up the good work team!
