CSQ Toolbox Talks

Last week Paynters wrapped up the final Toolbox Talks for 2019 at our Warrina Innisfail Aged Care and Tully Hospital sites.

Paynters put on a BBQ for the subcontractors and site personnel as they engaged with the CSQ Industry Engagement Manager for the Far North Queensland region, Robyn Van Rooye (aka Rooster).

Robyn spoke about the new skills training that CSQ is offering in 2020 for the building & construction industry called ‘Apprentice Advance+ Program’. The program provides free key training to complement the skills apprentices and trainees are developing, as well as information regarding accessibility to higher level training and short courses for 12 months after they’ve completed their apprenticeship or traineeship. She also touched on her ability to put workers in touch with RTO’s and access the most amount of funding possible for their development.

Paynters had 30 people in attendance at Warrina Innisfail and 15 people at the Tully Hospital Toolbox Talks & BBQs – a great result to end the year!
