Darling Downs school-based opportunities

Speaking with 14 different schools across the Darling Downs region, Construction Skills Queensland and Paynters introduced the Gateways to Industry Schools program. In a nutshell, the Gateways program is an initiative which aims to transition young people from schoolwork whilst completing school and gaining formal qualifications.

CSQ partner with Paynters to understand our para-professional skill requirements and facilitate work experience opportunities. We’ve been working collaboratively with CSQ for 5 years now, having hosted numerous work experience students over the years, with many staying on with Paynters after completing school.

Our current trainees Stacey, Renea and Max spoke at the event, with our Site Manager Craig Savage providing a tour of Carinity’s Brownseholme facility.
