As a Platinum sponsor of the Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) Queensland event, two of our specialist Aged Care employees had the opportunity to speak at the well respected conference, held on the Gold Coast last week.

The Aged Care Quality standards will measure the provision of Aged Care and services from July 1st, 2019.

The Paynters presentation considered the impact of these standards on the built environment in which care and services are delivered.  Sally Hogan (pictured) reflected briefly on how the buildings have evolved historically and the drivers of change that highlight the need to develop models of integrated living that fit the Australian culture and climate.

Andrew Spilar presented three projects that incorporate community integration in different ways, on both small and large scales. While these project examples were very different, they all demonstrated successful ways our care communities can embed themselves within the wider community.
