Have you ever thought about what home feels like?

For the second year Paynters was the major sponsor of Longevity by Design, a joint event delivered by DMA Engineers and The University of Queensland’s Healthy Ageing Initiative with a purpose to rethink the future of senior living design.

Congratulations to the Pitch Winners, runners up and all participants who challenged perceptions of ageing and seniors living concepts.

Proud of our team who were joined by the team from Bethany Christian Care, DMA Engineering and UQ, who took out the winning pitch for St Vincent’s Care Services.

The Charrette hosted a total of 12 teams, with industry professionals from the built environment sector, private and community-based organisations, government bodies and educational institutions. These individuals came together to challenge the way we currently design communities and buildings for life in later years – with this year’s theme – FEELS LIKE HOME: Designing pandemic-proof residential aged care that feels like home.

This years’ event produced some incredibly thought-provoking ideas and design concepts aimed at supporting older Australians to live active, productive, and purposeful lives.
