Opportunities on Transitioning to the Construction Industry
The Oasis Townsville (home base for the veteran community in Townsville), recently hosted an event with Master Builders QLD and TAFE – Exploring the Construction Industry Opportunities, encouraging ex and transitioning Defence personnel to consider careers in construction.
Paynters Director, Michael Koen – an Australian Army Veteran, was invited along to share his experience and advice on his transition from the Army to the construction industry.
Combined with a BBQ, veterans and transitioning personnel and families were provided with insight into upcoming opportunities within the industry, alongside available courses, and training options.
Paynters was delighted to have one of our own involved in this fantastic initiative and look forward to seeing it rolled out in additional regions.
