This week our crew have held two Construction Skills Queensland BBQ’s across our sites; one being Wynnum Manly Leagues Club and the other at the Ipswich Social Housing project.

With social distancing measures in place, our wonderful employees have carefully orchestrated these BBQ’s, hosting TAFE, WH&S More Skills, QLeave, Cbus, and Trade Tools onsite with our subbies and workers.

The invited industry leaders spoke about what was on offer from a training perspective, outlining which RTO’s have which courses still available. Our resident HSEQ Co-ordinator Amy Maxwell also spoke about the funds Paynters has allocated through CSQ, with subcontractors able to access the Paynters Training and Development funds to upskills themselves during delivery of our projects.

Since October last year, Paynters has received 191 enrolments through 70 workers, upskilling themselves through short courses and higher-level qualifications, which is just fantastic. Well done to all students currently enrolled and those who have recently finished a course – we take our hard hat off to you!
