Just over 10 weeks ago, the Townsville community were drenched by a monsoonal deluge that caused extensive damage to thousands of homes and businesses.

Our Insurance sector responded rapidly & effectively, despite numerous logistical challenges. One of these projects included the Townsville Turf Club (TTC) in Cluden where Paynters have been busy working to strip out, decontaminate and remediate buildings affected by the flood waters.

Paynters are currently working closely with TTC and Dillon Architects in developing the concept and design for the rectification works, which will include the refurbishment of heritage listed buildings including the members grandstand and the iconic public grandstand.

Temporary facilities have now been complete for Jockey’s and Stewards who will be housed in demountable buildings during the reinstatement works. These works were handed over in time for the first race meet since the floods.
