Paynters had another successful night on Friday, walking away with two awards at the North Queensland Master Builder Housing and Construction Awards.

Townsville University Hospital – Medical Imaging Department Upgrade won in the Health Facilities up to $20 million category.

This was Paynters fifth consecutive year at the Townsville University Hospital, with the work including the construction of a second MRI suite involving the installation of a Siemens 1.5t Magnetom Sola MRI scanner and a second Siemans DSA suite. The works also consisted of extensive demolition and specialised internal fit out of existing areas to allow construction of the new MRI & DSA procedures spaces. Both areas were complete with procedure rooms, control rooms, induction space, cannulation, scrub room and equipment rooms.

Townsville Turf Club (Cluden Park) was awarded for Refurbishment/Renovation over $750,000.

Paynters completed the refurbishment of both the Members Grandstand and Heritage listed Public Grandstand.  The redevelopment of the Townsville Turf Club occurred as a result of the 2019 floods that devastated the Townsville region, with the new facilities including a new Members precinct with a modernised sports bar and dining area and exclusive Member’s lounge and bar.

A big congratulations to the teams involved in the delivery of these projects!
