After a fire ravaged through the Cudgen Leagues Club in Northern NSW, Paynters were engaged to complete the make-safe and early works. During this time, we worked closely with all stakeholders to salvage memorabilia from the Club after the client suspected most had perished in the fire.

Amid the ashes, the Paynters team were able to salvage a large percentage of irreplaceable items and returned them to the very appreciative members.

Our brief was to provide a warm, welcoming environment for the club members and their guests as well as strengthen their physical connections to the adjacent sporting precinct, all within the limits of the existing club shell.

Priorities to create staff efficiencies within the design to support the ongoing operation of the club and its food & beverage offering were paramount.

Features of the proposed ground floor layout include a more distinct covered front entry / drop off area, family friendly bar & bistro plus a modernised indoor + alfresco gaming area. These areas are supported by a centralised back of house with stacked services for economy in operation.

The upper level proposal, with immaculate views over the surrounding sporting fields and suburban residential area will have a multipurpose use, providing the club flexible space for seasonal events, game-day viewing as well as space for functions and live entertainment.
