As 2020 draws to a close, our project team have worked hard to complete the new learning centre at Burpengary State Secondary College.

The new 3-storey facility is an outstanding addition to the campus, with the students now able to utilise the flexible learning spaces, dance/drama studios, science labs and aerospace workshops.

The bold colour scheme of the building was envisioned by the School Principal and further adapted by the Paynters design team and our architect, the COBiE Group. The inspiration of the Japanese Phoenix came to life in the form of impressive finishes to the Learning Centre.

Over the life of the project Paynters held two CSQ BBQ’s on site to promote industry funding, TAFE and CBUS. As a result, we ran WAH, Scissor Lift and EWP training for Paynters workers and our subcontractors totalling $10,905 (all gap free for the students).

Site Manager Rhion Gardner and the site team logistically excelled throughout the delivery of the project. To quote the project superintendent, “The building was delivered with a huge amount of pride, quality and thoroughness which has been evident throughout the entire project with glowing reports from the school and all client side stakeholders. The team have gone over and above to deliver a fantastic building”.
