The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk, Minister Shannon Fentiman and Minister Coralee O’Rourke stopped by our Pimlico site yesterday, as part of Regional Parliament week in Townsville.

Paynters Project Manager Matthew Shea said that “the redevelopment of Pimlico TAFE campus is on schedule with the new building ready for student’s semester 1 2020.”

Pimlico TAFE will become the North’s specialised non-trade training centre, accommodating up to 900 full time equivalent students and supporting growth in student numbers of 20 per cent over time.

Paynters are incredibly passionate about its commitment to local businesses and engaging the next generation of tradespeople.

Mr Shea said, “So far, we have inducted 33 Apprentices over the life of the project with 10 currently working on the TAFE site.”

CSQ training funds have allowed Paynters to employ two NRL Cowboys House individuals as school-based trainees and actively meet with local subcontractors across the State on numerous occasions to educate & promote career boosting opportunities that are 100% funded.
