Hosted by the Townsville City Council, the Indigenous Business Fair at Townsville Stadium was a two-day program, providing tendering and networking prospects.

Aimed at creating jobs and equal opportunities for the local indigenous community, this Fair provided some valuable insights into the tendering environment and the process sub-contractors go through on a day-to-day basis, in order to better increase chances of securing work.

Paynters continue to support local businesses through initiatives like our Regional Training and Development Program in addition to proactively engaging with likeminded businesses across the regions.

North Queensland Manager Michael Koen said “For us, it’s a win, win situation. We have an incredibly strong sub-contractor network here in North Queensland, but we are always on the hunt for sub-contractors whose approach aligns with our culture and ethos.”
