There’s a beautiful new purpose built building on its way!

The residents of Yarrabah Shire Council may well be in lock down for Covid-19 but that hasn’t stopped progress on the design of a new high care wing for the Mutkin Residential and Community Aged Care Facility.

Marked in Paynters blue on the above image is the proposed site for the new building. It will be home to 10 residents and includes a community centre that will also support the current 16 residents and provide a place for connection to the community.

The building design has been developed in consultation with the indigenous board and local elders and incorporates indigenous design principles specific to the Yarrabah Community.

Paynters have worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure the design integrity of this building and will proudly undertake construction as soon as the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
