The Paynters cadet team had their second last site visit for the year today, with all 8 team members basking in the glory that is the new Queensland Ballet Academy and Multipurpose Hall at Kelvin Grove State College.

With the newest member Zoe Yourell joining the cadet program, the team got to witness the final progression of works for the flagship project. Over the past 10 months Project Manager Bryan Beilby has been guiding the cadets through the programme delivery, as they watch the project come to life, witnessing an exceptional addition to the Kelvin Grove State College campus.

Walking into the Ballet Academy, the cadets were able to see firsthand how the Paynters design team have successfully managed the acoustics within the ballet studios. Stepping into the room they were overwhelmed with complete silence, a complete shock when you’re standing in the middle of a bustling construction site.

The team also inspected the magnificent 7,100m2 Multipurpose Hall structure where the cadets received a deeper understanding of the design process to meet the deliverables, and the work involved in trade coordination for such a large building. With only one more site visit for the year, the cadets can’t wait to see the final finishes completed to the buildings, with handover to the Department of Education due in the new year.
