Local jobs and plenty of upskilling were some of the extra benefits Paynters delivered as it completed the design and construction of Jacaranda Place on time and on budget. 14 apprentices were engaged through the life of the project, which saw us exceed targeted training hours for new entrants to construction.

Paynters assumed design responsibility from the very beginning. This gave us the opportunity to offer the client a small increase to the site yield and efficient solutions to environmental challenges through clever design ideas, whilst still complying with town planning requirements.

The result means better value for taxpayers’ money and more people in need can access modern, high quality and functional housing sooner. Offering 24 apartments over 4 levels, the facility provides 3 different apartment layouts which cater for residents’ individual needs.

This project forms part of the Logan Better Neighbourhoods initiative. The Queensland Government initiative aims to build a more vibrant and liveable community by providing people with greater access to safe and affordable housing as well as jobs in Logan. The project is a fantastic example for future developers in the area to aspire to.
