Paynters partnered with the Gladstone Regional Council to deliver this community led facility to the Central Queensland region. The Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct was designed to strengthen Gladstone’s social service system and play a pivotal role in supporting and protecting community wellbeing and fostering social inclusion.

Paynters undertook the construction of the precinct which included the development of four commercial buildings, a new carpark, significant landscaping and civil works and an all-abilities play space.

An engagement piece with the Traditional Landowners was undertaken which involved utilising Indigenous names for the precinct buildings, acknowledging the connection to the land. Through this process words were selected to reflect the services delivered in each of the buildings. Traditional language was provided by the Traditional Owners of the region; Byellee, Gooreng Goreng and Guran.
